GUIMARASNONS BENEFIT FROM FREE LEGAL SERVICES OF USA – COLLEGE OF LAW

The University of San Agustin (USA) – College of Law, through the Augustinian Legal Aide Bureau (ALAB), Sigma Alpha Lex and Bar Reviewer Organization in partnership with the Provincial Government of Guimaras, Office of Congresswoman Ma. Lucille L. Nava and the 10th Sangguniang Panlalawigan provided legal services to the people of the Province of Guimaras on April 14, 2024 through “Istorya Legal: A Legal Aid Program for the Province of Guimaras” at the Provincial Covered Gym, San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras.
The activity is part of the University of San Agustin-College of Law community service initiatives that aim to provide legal education and free legal services to the people.

The Regional Development Council (RDC) in Western Visayas convened for its 2024 1st Quarter Full Council Meeting on March 19 at Andana Resort in Poblacion, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras.
A total of 119 individuals that include the Council’s key officers and Executive Committee members attended the meeting.

A total of 1,031 individuals received financial aid from the office of Congresswoman Ma. Lucille L. Nava during the distribution of assistance on March 14, 2024 at the Provincial Capitol Gym, San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras.
The cash aid was given to the residents of the Province of Guimaras who have applied for medical assistance to cover up their medications, burials, and hospital bills from the month of December 2023 to February 2024 with every recipient receiving Php 3,000.

Students from five towns in the province of Guimaras showed their talents in the Provincial Art Contest held on March 13, 2024 at the Provincial Covered Gym, San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras.
The contest was organized by the Provincial Government of Guimaras through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection – Guimaras in line with the commemoration of Fire Prevention Month this March.

Governor JC Rahman A. Nava and Congresswoman Ma. Lucille L. Nava raised additional funds for the improvement of Nueva Valencia District Hospital.
Through their efforts, they have secured Php 10 million from Senator Imee Marcos that will be utilized for the upgrade of the facility.
